Bhopal, Oct 28 (UNI) Bharatiya Jan Shakti Vice-President Chandraraj Singhvi today alleged that the ruling BJP was violating the Model Code of Conduct and trying to woo the electorate in Vidisha Lok Sabha and Malehra Vidhan Sabha constituencies by using muscle and money power.

Talking to reporters, Mr Singhvi accused Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of encouraging casteism.

Regarding cancellation of an election meeting of the BJS in Jaitpura of Malehra, he said the Collector had admitted that he cancelled the meeting. However, he was not suspended and no disciplinary action was taken despite the fact that permission for conducting election meeting could not be cancelled by the district administration.

He claimed that Hindu outfits -- such as the RSS and the VHP -- had come out openly in the support of the BJS and fear of loss has gripped the BJP.

He alleged that BJP workers tried to set ablaze BJS President Uma Bharti's helicopter. In response, the villagers tried to set ablaze Mr Chouhan's helicopter, he claimed.
