Bhutan Police delegation visits Punjab Police Academy

Phagwara, Oct 28 (UNI) A delegation from Royal Bhutan Police comprising Lt Col Indva Pardhan, Lt Col Kinzang Rinzin, Major Loderg Jamtsbo, Captain Ugyen Penjore and Lt Kavma Gamten today visited Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur to have an insight into various training programmes being run by the Academy.

The delegation keenly studied all the indoor and outdoor training programme and took a round of the Academy campus and observed different indoor and outdoor training techniques being used for imparting state-of-the-art police training at Punjab Police Academy.

The training include modern fire arm training system, underwater search technique and anti-sabotage management.

The delegation appreciated the higher police education and set-up of the Academy, which is first of its kind in Asia.

The delegation interacted with Director of the Academy Rajdeep Singh Gill and shared views about the need for change in police training strategies to fight common international problems like terrorism and drugs trafficking and also had a detailed discussion to strengthen training exchange programmes between India and Bhutan.
