CPI(ML) to contest Nalanda and Koderma seats
Patna, Oct 10 (UNI) The CPI(ML) today named its candidates for by-polls to Nalanda and Koderma Lok Sabha constituencies and hinted at the possibility of supporting the CPI(M) at Bhagalpur.
By-polls to fill up the three vacant Lok Sabha seats from Bihar and Jharkhand takes place on November 6.
Talking to reporters here, CPI(ML) general secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya announced that senior party leader and president of Khet Mazdoor Sabha, Rameshwar Prasad would contest from Nalanda in Bihar while Raj Kumar Yadav would be fielded from Koderma in Jharkhand.
When asked about his stand to be taken in Bhagalpur for which CPI(M) had announced its candidate, Mr Bhattacharya said that his party would not support the CPI(M) if it contested as an ally of the UPA.
The CPI(ML) leader said that people would reject both the NDA and UPA in the by-elections as they were adopting an ''anti-farmers'' policy.
