Mumbai blasts will have no impact on IT: Nilekani
Bangalore, July 12: The serial bomb blasts that rocked Mumbai yesterday claiming over 180 lives will not have any impact on the Indian IT industry, IT major Infosys CEO Nandan M Nilekani said today.
Speaking after announcing the company's first quarter results here, he said ''The blasts will not affect the robust growth of the IT industry in the country as the industry's fundamentals are strong,'' he added.
He said ''The blasts were a great tragedy...the Mumbai people did not deserve it. The people of the financial capital of India are dynamic and have enormous strength to overcome such adversities as evidenced on previous occasions.''
