K'taka CM Kumaraswamy charged of taking bribe
Bangalore, July 10: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's is being charged of taking a bribe of Rs 150 crore from a mining company in Bellary district.
The Chief Minister was accused by BMIC builder, Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise, of trying to bribe him. BJP leader MLC K Janardhana Reddy has levelled this charge against him who is part of the coalition party.
Kumaraswamy has called the charges baseless and motivated. There are plans to slap a criminal defamation case against Reddy. However, Reddy is defiant and said that he will prove his charges against the Chief Minister.
This issue has led to a serious rift between the ruling coalition JD(S) and BJP in the state.
