Security Paper Mill to continue as Public Utility Service
New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) The Government today announced that the Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad will continue as a Public Utility Service for further six months from July 7.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, this has been done in public interest. The Public Sector Organisation was earlier declared a public utility service under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 for six months with effect from July 7, 2005 and subsequently for another six months from January 7, 2006.
The employees in this industry, as a result, would among other things be required to give notice to their employer six weeks in advance of proceeding on strike so that conciliatory proceedings could be started.
During the conciliatory proceedings and seven days after their completion, the employees in this industry cannot go on strike. UNI BBS DKS KN1752
