PREPAK to stop contract work
Imphal, Mar 10 (UNI) The cash-strapped rebel People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) decided not to participate in government contract work since it affected the cadres' morale.
PREPAK, however, said it would complete the work it had already taken up.
The organisation admitted financial crunch and problems in continuing the armed struggle leading to the decision to participate in contract work for the government. But the contract work affected the cadres morale, it said.
PREPAK also announced new administrative set up with new people to look after the finance of the organisation.
It said all financial transactions would be conducted with the approval of the new financial officer.
