IMFL worth Rs.23 lakh seized in Vadodara, 2 arrested
Vadodara, Mar 10 (UNI) Crime Branch sleuths today seized Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth over Rs 23 lakh after intercepting a truck at Jambua bridge on the outskirts of the city.
PCB police inspector Kaushik Pandya said the seizure led to arrest of truck owner Rakesh Mina and driver Omkar Singh, both residents of Ujjain.
The 680-carton consignment, which was on its way to Vadodara from Daman, was well covered with straws when police stopped the vehicle on a tip-off.
The bootleggers, who were reportedly escorting the truck, however managed to flee by a white Indica, Mr Pandya said.
